You may be wondering how to become a freelancer or how to start or where to start in the first place. Specially you're a total newbie or new to this world or what difference do they do from a "corporate" job or BPO or any other career out there. You may be thinking if you can be a freelancer or not, or if you can do what they do. Of course if they can do it, definitely you can as well! Having a positive mindset that you can, and willingness to learn can make you a become a freelancer.
How To Start
First, you have to be ready with all your mind, heart and body. You may have some of the skills already from your previous experiences, but you just need proper guidance. There are free trainings from Youtube and Google, same as paid courses, which I highly recommend Filipino Virtual Assistance Academy, as they will guide you from scratch and easy to learn and follow courses. You can also join other Facebook communities and groups that may help you with your questions or even finding a job or client.

Of course the first thing you need is a computer or laptop that you can use, internet connection as you will be working remotely. These are the main tools you need in order to start as a freelancer. Then with the skills that you've got, from the previous work experiences you had and can learn more skills through free or paid courses, you have you Google and Youtube, or with the community/ties you belong. Of course you have to have a presentable Resume - check on Canva format, update those details. Create and optimize your social media accounts. Sign up with Upwork or Onlinejobs.ph or other online sites where you can get your clients. Be ready with your portfolios as a sample of your job or tasks that you can do. Most importantly, is to prepare yourself with a right mind and heart in order to do your job well.
